On October 5, 2011, NAIFA-Texas Board and PAC Board members met with newly appointed Texas Department of Insurance (TDI) Commissioner Eleanor Kitzman to introduce NAIFA-Texas and its mission of advocacy for positive legislation/regulation, enhancement of business/professional skills and ethical conduct of its agent members. Legislation passed during the 2011 Legislative Session that affects agents was an important topic of discussion.
