Nomination of Officers and Trustees

The State Delegate Council of NAIFA-Texas will elect Officers and Trustees to the NAIFA-Texas Board on Tuesday, July 24, 2012 during the Business Session of the NAIFA-Texas Career Conference and 87th Annual Business Meeting in San Marcos, Texas.

Any NAIFA-Texas local association may recommend a candidate for consideration.

The following positions will be elected:

  • President Elect-1 year term
  • Secretary-Treasurer-1 year term
  • Three (3) Trustee positions-2 year terms

The current President-Elect is automatically advanced to the Presidency. The current President is automatically advanced to Immediate Past President.

Should your local wish to recommend a candidate please follow these steps:

  • Be sure your candidate will be able to give adequate time to the association and our profession and to answer mail, email and telephone calls.
  • Ask your candidate to review the duties and responsibilities.
  • Ask your candidate to complete the nomination form.
  • Section II, of the nomination form, must be completed and signed by the local President and Secretary.
  • Advise your candidate that they will be interviewed by the Nomination Committee.  Each candidate will be contacted as to the specific time of their interview.
